Payment / Funding Options

There are several payment routes, depending on how your treatment is funded:

Self-Pay (Private Patient)

If you are funding your own treatment, you will directly pay for all elements of care: hospital, surgeon, and anaesthesia fees. We will supply a full cost estimate so you know exactly what to expect before booking.

Fixed-Price Package

If your hospital or surgical provider offers a fixed-price package that covers all medical costs, including anaesthesia, your anaesthetic fee will be included in that package at no extra cost to you.

Private Medical Insurance (PMI)

If you have private medical insurance, your insurer will ask for the appropriate operative code and we can give you an estimate ahead of surgery. Please note: insurers do not set our fees, and their payment schedules may not cover our full anaesthetic fee — you may be responsible for any shortfall.

Estimates and Variations

We can provide a fee estimate for your anaesthesia as soon as we know your procedure code (OPCS code) or the nature of your surgery.

On rare occasions, the actual fee may differ from the estimate if the type or extent of surgery changes or additional anaesthetic care is Required.
